Addictions & Substance Use Support
We understand that substance use is complex, personal, and deeply human. There is no single path to change and no requirement that you be "ready," abstinent, or certain about what you want in order to seek support.
A Biopsychosocial Approach
Our work is grounded in a biopsychosocial model, recognizing that substance use is influenced by the interaction of biology, psychology, relationships, environment, stress, trauma, and life experiences. We look beyond substances themselves to understand the whole person and the context in which change happens.
Our Approach
We practice harm reduction–informed psychotherapy, working along a continuum that includes harm reduction and abstinence-based care. This means:
No Abstinence Required
You do not need to be abstinent to begin therapy.
No Certainty Needed
You do not need to know whether you want to quit.
Met Where You Are
You are met where you are, without judgment or pressure.
Together, we explore what substance use does for you, what it costs you, and what feels possible right now. For some, this may involve reducing harm, increasing safety, or improving control. For others, it may involve working toward abstinence. Readiness can change over time — and your care can change with it.
What We Support
We work with individuals across all stages of change, including:
- check Curiosity or concern about substance use
- check Ambivalence about cutting back or quitting
- check Relapse prevention and sustained recovery
- check Co-occurring anxiety, depression, trauma, or stress
- check Shame, guilt, or secrecy around substance use
- check Relationship, work, or health impacts related to use
A Non-Judgmental Space
Addiction is not a failure of willpower or character. It is often a response to pain, stress, loss, or unmet needs.
Therapy offers a space to understand your relationship with substances, strengthen coping, rebuild trust with yourself, and move toward change at a pace that feels realistic and respectful.
"You deserve support at every point in your story — not just after a decision has been made."
