About Meredith Armstrong
Meredith Armstrong is a Registered Social Worker and the owner of St. Lawrence Psychotherapy and Wellness. She has been doing this work since 2001, and it has never once felt like just a job to her.
Meredith believes people make sense. Every struggle, every pattern, every strategy someone built to survive their life, it all has a story behind it. Her work is less about fixing what looks broken and more about helping people finally understand themselves, often for the first time. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and has trained deeply in the modalities that let her do this work well, because she takes competence and continued learning seriously.
Meredith does not walk into a session already knowing what your struggles mean. She listens until your story starts to make sense on its own terms, without judgment, without rushing you toward a conclusion. She tells the truth in a way that lands, because it is wrapped in genuine care, not softened past the point of being useful. She asks hard questions and names what she sees, but empathy always leads. She is steady enough that people trust her to hold the hard things. She works hard for the people who give her the privilege of working with them.
Meredith has done her own work too. She has sat in individual and group therapy herself, and she knows firsthand what it means to trust someone with the hard parts of your story and to do the work of moving through them. She does not believe good care can be built on technique alone. It takes authenticity, real connection, and practice that is grounded in evidence.
Outside the therapy room, you will probably find Meredith on the river, paddleboarding or boating, whatever gets her out there. She also powerlifts at her local gym, surrounded by a community of incredible women. And she is just as happy at home with her partner and puppies, deep into a show with good food close by.

Other Specialized Clinicians
Our diverse team of professionals is here to support you in different areas of mental health and wellness.

Mackenzie Howard
Psychotherapist
RP (Qualifying)
Mackenzie works with adolescents and adults who are exhausted from always being the strong one, who overthink conversations, worry about disappointing people, and struggle to put themselves first without guilt. She helps people move out of people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, and self-doubt, and toward healthier boundaries, more trust in their own judgment, and more peace day to day.

Lia Forma
Social Worker, Psychotherapist
MSW, RSW
Lia is a Social Worker with over 15 years of experience across community and residential settings. She has walked alongside people through mental health struggles, addiction, trauma, intimate partner violence, and women’s health, and she brings that same steady presence to the men who come to her too. She’s especially attuned to the particular pressures and expectations that can shape how men cope, communicate, and carry what they’re going through, often quietly, and often for a long time before they ask for help.

Genevieve Fincher
Social Worker
MSW, RSW
Genevieve Fincher is a classically trained clinical social worker who graduated from the University of South Carolina and has over 20 years of experience working in adult and children’s mental health.
