About Lia Forma
Lia is a Social Worker with over 15 years of experience across community and residential settings. She has walked alongside people through mental health struggles, addiction, trauma, intimate partner violence, and women’s health, and she brings that same steady presence to the men who come to her too. She’s especially attuned to the particular pressures and expectations that can shape how men cope, communicate, and carry what they’re going through, often quietly, and often for a long time before they ask for help.
Lia works from a person-centered, nonjudgmental approach built to get to the root of what’s actually going on rather than stop at the surface. She’s trained across a range of modalities and stays flexible, meeting each client where they are and moving at their pace. Autonomy isn’t an afterthought in her work, it’s the point.
Lia has done her own therapy too. She knows what it takes to sit on both sides of that relationship, and what genuine care actually requires.
Outside of sessions, Lia spends her time with her partner, step-kids, and puppies. She loves gardening, taking on home projects, and finding ways to give back to her community.
